Scar Removal & Skin Grafting

Surgical scar removal is used to treat deep tissue scars that cannot be treated using other alternative methods. It can be done via surgical excision or through skin grafting.

The surgical excision process is done by cutting the scar and then sewing together the cut ends carefully using either absorbable thread or non-absorbable thread.

In skin grafting, the surgeon takes skin from another part of the patient’s body and grafts it into the scar depression. This method is often used to treat contracture or burn scars.
